Worship Ministries

Worship Ministries at Pine Lake Covenant Church exist to magnify the greatness of God in Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, skillfully combining God’s Word with music, thereby motivating the gathered Church to proclaim the gospel, cherish God’s presence and to live for God’s glory.

Everybody is worshiping all the time, whether it’s our wallet, our stomach, or our Creator, to be human is to be a worshiper. At Pine Lake Covenant Church we believe that the focus of our worship should be Jesus Christ and we use song and scripture to point all of the glory to Him.

  • We sing because we are a people who rejoice that our lives have been changed by the gospel.
  • We sing because the Bible calls us to "Make a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth … Come into his presence with singing!" (Psalms 100:1–2) "Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!" (Psalm 96:1)
  • We sing to God because God sings over us (Zephaniah 3:17).
  • We sing because He is worthy of our song.

At PLCC we eschew the labels of “traditional, contemporary and blended”, and instead, take timeless truths and present them within the context of the culture where we serve. This could mean singing a song that is newly created or taking a hymn of the past and creating a new arrangement of it. We cull from the past while valuing creativity and fresh expressions of faith.

When we gather for corporate worship we typically meet in our sanctuary, but we set aside the first Sunday of every month to gather for a service we call Community Worship.
