Our Government

"... with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone."     Ephesians 2:20

Covenant churches utilize a congregational form of church government.  The local church has complete responsibility and authority for local church decisions.  Officers are elected by the congregation from its active membership.  Church officers include a Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, and Financial Officer.  They sit on the church Leadership Team along with the lead pastor, who is an ex-officio member of the Team.  Other pastoral staff serve as advisory members.  You can read our Constitution here.

Congregational business meetings are held at least semi-annually.  The membership votes on the following:

  1. Any constitutional changes
  2. Electing Leadership Team members
  3. Adopting the annual church budget
  4. Calling pastoral staff
  5. Approving construction loans and land purchases
