Immerse is an intentionally simple, fresh way of experiencing the Bible – together. Pine Lake Covenant has the opportunity to immerse ourselves in God’s Word and anticipate what He will do among us as we attend to what He says.
Immerse: The Reading Bible is an innovative new format which presents the Scriptures in a more natural way, without the modern additives of chapters, verses, section headings, or notes. Instead, each book is presented in a way that honors the natural literary form.
Immerse is also a community Bible reading experience. As we read the Bible in a new way, we can talk about it in a new way. This includes weekly group “book club” conversations. People gather and simply talk about what they’ve read in honest, unmediated conversations.
Immerse: Beginnings takes the reader on a new and unique journey through the first five books of the Bible: the Pentateuch. In Beginnings readers follow the ancient nation of Israel from its earliest ancestors to the moment it is poised to enter the land God promised them. As God’s covenant community follows the instructions laid out in the Pentateuch, they not only receive God’s blessings but also are uniquely positioned to bring renewal and healing to the world and to show all peoples the true character and nature of God.
How can I connect with an Immerse conversation group?
As you are reading the Bible in a new way, you are invited to talk about it in a new way. Once a week, groups will gather and simply talk about what they’ve read in honest, unmediated conversation—a “book club” format. Simple conversation starters will prompt the discussion, facilitated by designated leaders.
