Christmas

DEC 2 – DEC 23  //  ADVENT

Matthew begins his story of Jesus by telling us the family tree of Jesus. In that tree is a young immigrant woman, named Ruth, from a despised racial group. God chose to include her in the human ancestry of his son. God loves to work outside the boundaries of cultural norms and because of this, when we find ourselves in places of great darkness and despair, we can, like Ruth, be people with hope.

DEC 24  //  CHRISTMAS EVE

5:00 PM • BUILD-A-PAGEANT
Kids build a Christmas pageant, with NO rehearsals, to retell the story of Jesus’ birth. Kids can come dressed as an animal, angel, shepherd, or wise person, or we have supplies available to dress up on the spot. We also sing traditional carols, enjoy a short message for all ages, and join together in candle lighting. Don’t miss this fun service!

7:30 PM • CANDLES & CAROLS
The Candles & Carols service is a Christmas tradition we love at Pine Lake Covenant Church. The service is a time of hearing the story of Jesus’ birth, singing Christmas carols and lighting candles to remember the light that entered the world through Jesus. Join us as we celebrate!
