Through our partnership with Covenant Kids Congo powered by Team World Vision, we have the opportunity to bring hope and healing to vulnerable children and families in DR Congo. As we raise awareness and funds to provide clean water, we’re not only helping children on the other side of the world, we’re joining God in his mission to the world.
This year we have a variety of opportunities for your involvement. Please consider how God is calling you to bless his world radically.
6K is the average distance women and children walk daily for clean water. On May 22, thousands of people across the globe will walk or run 6K to bring awareness to the need for clean water. This year’s event will be a hybrid opportunity to walk or run with friends and family in your own neighborhood, then come together in the PLCC parking lot for a Global 6K Celebration! This will also coincide with the final day of the 7DAY 6K. Your registration fee provides clean water for one person, and you’re encouraged to invite others to participate as well.Sign Up for Global 6K
Over the course of seven consecutive days, May 16 – May 22, you will walk or run a 6K every day. You will be able to choose what time of day you run or walk and what your course will be. There may be some limited options for small group gatherings in May. The final day coincides with the Global 6K. A training plan is provided to help you prepare for this endurance event as well as an emphasis on raising funds for clean water in DR Congo.Sign Up for 7Day 6K
It takes many hands to support both the 7DAY 6K team and Global 6K event. Support could look like organizing small group training walks/runs, texting encouragement to team members, reaching out to potential event sponsors, dreaming and planning details for the in person event, or helping with set-up on event weekend.Sign Up to Volunteer
Over the past 5 years through both the Endurance (half-marathon) and Global 6K events, we have raised $99,596.00 providing clean water for 1,992 children, forever changing their lives! Together, let’s go farther and see how God chooses to work through us to bless even more children with life-sustaining clean water.
