Elaine and her husband, Keith, have called Sammamish home since 1998. Blessed with 30 years of marriage, they have two adult sons who live and work in Boston and California.
Elaine’s family immigrated to Vancouver from Hong Kong in 1974. As a young girl, she was often brought to church by her grandmother, and at Youth Summer Camp in the 8th grade she personally accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was actively involved in her youth group, and during her university years, her faith grew even stronger through discipleship training and sharing the gospel through Campus Crusade for Christ. After college, she worked as a middle school teacher in both Toronto and Vancouver.
During her family’s early years at PLCC, Elaine was active in Women’s Bible Study, MOPS, and the choir. She’s participated with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for 16 years, five of which she served as a leader. She also serves as a PLCC Stephen Minister; ESL teacher in the community; and enjoys tennis, hiking, yoga, backpacking, and sharing meals with others. Above all, what brings Elaine the greatest joy and fills her with the deepest gratitude are the people God has woven into the story of her life.
