The first task of a leader is to define reality. 1 Peter 5:5-11 now introduces a subject that gives depth perception to the reality Christians are facing in this world: the devil. We might respond with anxiety or disbelief, but that only makes things worse. It comes as a strong warning, but also with an even greater promise.
