1 Peter 2:13-25
When does a Christ-follower stand up and say, “the emperor has no clothes on?” You can’t do it all the time, but you must do it some time. Maybe more importantly, how do you say it – with love or with something else? Telling someone they are naked when they think they are clothed is not easy. It is an over-desire to be relevant that leads us to never take a stand that might cost us something in the eyes of others. We too can become naked and not know it. Peter is not focused on being relevant, but on being resilient, being able to “stand fast in the true grace of God” (1 Peter 5:12), clothed in Christ.
