Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come

Prayer is an invitation. So what are we inviting God into when we pray for His will to be done? What are we inviting ourselves into when we ask for His will to be done? Join us as we understand how God’s will is done here in Sammamish as it is in Heaven.

Matthew 6:9-13

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]

Footnotes:

[a] The Greek for temptation can also mean testing.
[b] Or from evil; some late manuscripts one, / for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
